The story of a mixed-race Liverpudlian great-grandmother of Nigerian and Irish heritage celebrating her birthday, recalling a rollercoaster of memories – from her childhood in a Welsh convent to meeting her Nigerian Husband. Going on a journey to Nigeria only to discover 'In England I'm black. In Africa I'm white. It’s a funny, bloody world'. Celebrating life's triumphs and tragedies, and observing Liverpool’s social, economic and political life, from her uniquely humorous perspective.
