Description:
John will spontaneously create music on piano, and organ based on melodies presented to him on the spot, and in a variety of styles. The audience are invited to present some melodies, including ones created from pulling random note letters out of a hat! The concert also includes conjectural creations based on the lives of great composers. John is known as an exponent of classical-style improvisation. He has led a varied musical career, including writing for music journals and has given several workshops for Cambridge and Oxford Universities.
