Description:
When a twisted artist burns his murdered bride into a porcelain masterpiece, her silenced spirit demands justice. This visually stunning fairytale merges the darkness of Grimm stories with the breathtaking aesthetics of traditional Chinese opera. Stripped of conventional gore, the violence is stylised through mesmerising physical theatre, traditional Chinese percussion, and spectacular face-changing and fire-breathing illusions. As a comedic thief breaks into the workshop, a satirical pact is made between the living and the dead. Experience a cross-cultural theatrical spectacle of greed, objectification and supernatural revenge, culminating in a dramatic showdown at a hypocritical high-society funeral.
