PlaidSong are Nicky Small and Syd House from Perthshire. Their harmonies and music have been heard across the world from Thurso to Dunedin. They combine historical interests with traditional, original singing/songwriting, weaving tales from the rich history of Scots song over the centuries including the adventures of the Scottish diaspora. From ballads and reivers, kings and outlaws, adventurers and plant hunters, poets and musicians, they cover many stories in song interwoven with the history associated with each song.
