Description:
What do we know about trust? Do we even need to trust anymore, when we can just look people up online or track their movements? Dr Michael Stirrat (Edinburgh Napier University) explores trust and relationships. In 1746, a priest electrocuted 200 monks to measure the speed of electricity. According to the monks the answer was 'Aaaaah!' Physicist Dr Nick Werren (Heriot-Watt University) traces electricity's shocking history through sordid science, countless dead frogs and the Corpse Matinée.
