Description:
A contemporary dance performance exploring the subtle process of shedding imposed identities and social expectations. It examines how professional roles and societal norms shape, even constrain, the body. On stage, garments such as stiff-collared shirts, structured workwear and cinched dresses become visible markers of internalized discipline and expectation. Through shared movement and interaction, I Don’t Care traces a journey: from unconscious endurance, to the awakening of discomfort, to collaborative acts of removal and finally to the emergence of the self as the symbolic layers are stripped away, to reveal the long hidden authentic selves.
