Description:
Hear our innovative piano orchestra perform finger-gymnastics music for three pianists playing one piano together. 'Artistic Director Matthew Shiel shone' (ThisWeekCulture.com). Orchestre á Six Mains is a unique and creative piano ensemble which celebrates the rarely performed music for one piano, six hands – or three pianists at one piano – creating the powerful impression of a piano orchestra. Tonight’s programme includes a Romance by Rachmaninoff, an African boat-song by Percy Grainger, a medley of Scottish folk songs and a special performance of Sousa’s all-American Stars and Stripes Forever.
