Description:
Top academics, dangerous ideas and your host comedian Susan Morrison. Matthew Knight (National Museums Scotland) asks: are archaeologists as baffled as the media portrays? Contrary to popular belief, archaeologists don’t (often) spend their days wandering around confused by the ancient burials, monuments and hoards they encounter. And while chatbots like ChatGPT and Google's Gemini dominate the news, the answers they give are, literally, bullshit. Professor Philip Wadler (The University of Edinburgh) discusses the promises and threats of such technology, and how the 2000-year-old discipline of logic may help.
